With Easter quickly approaching, I’m sharing some adorable Easter basket ideas for babies. I can’t believe this is the last time (and 6th time!) we’ll be celebrating “Baby’s First Easter” (cue the tears!). Our sweet baby girl will be 2 months old when Easter rolls around, and it’s such a precious age to celebrate baby’s first Easter- their lovable smiles and coos, zero expectations for presents (unlike the older kids!), and adorable gifts to fill their Easter baskets. From lovey bunnies to springtime books for babies, here we have some of the sweetest baby Easter basket ideas for your little one.

Easter Basket Ideas For Babies
Let’s face it, babies don’t need much in their first Easter basket- and that’s a good thing! Maybe it’s the mom-of-6-stress in me that takes the overwhelming hype and chaos of Christmas gifts and breathes a giant breath of relief once Easter rolls around. There is such little expectation for presents from the Easter bunny (unlike his wild uncle Santa), that the most simple Easter basket fillers will do. And for a baby’s first Easter? Sweet and simple is the name of the game. An adorable little outfit, a sweet lovey bunny to snuggle with, or some cute springtime books for story time and snuggles with mom/dad.

Easter Books For Babies
I always love books as gifts and they are such a great addition to an Easter basket. My 5 older kids love to read, and there’s extra excitement to read when there are seasonal or holiday-specific books on their bookshelf. From classics like The Tale Of Peter Rabbit to sensory touch-and-feel bunny board books, there are so many adorable Easter picture books for babies that just sing SPRING and will be staples on baby’s bookshelf into their toddler years and beyond.
Easter Clothes For Babies
In addition to adding books or toys to baby’s first Easter basket, clothes are a great idea as there are SO many adorable springtime rompers, dresses, footies, sweaters and pajamas available this time of year. And since bunnies never go out of style, baby will get a lot of use out of their new wardrobe staples for the next few months until they outgrow them!
Easter Basket Toys For Babies
Peter Rabbit inspired gifts, simple wooden toys, blocks, and rattles are always a fun addition to a baby’s Easter basket. And if baby is very young, don’t worry they will quickly get to the stage where they can actually “play” with the toys gifted. Some beautiful wooden toys even look great as nursery decor on a bookshelf, just waiting until baby is ready to discover it!
Teethers, Bibs, Bows & Other Accessories
Accessories such as teethers, bibs and bows are perfect as Easter basket fillers for babies. They’re small, soft, adorable, and baby will get lots of use out of these during different developmental stages. Another cute idea for baby’s first Easter basket is a Peter Rabbit dinnerware set to make mealtime extra sweet for your little one!
Beach/Pool Gifts For Baby
By the time Easter arrives, we’re just around the corner from better weather (at least for us here near Chicago), which means trips to the pool and beach are just a few weeks away. I’ve always loved to give our kids beach gear for Easter as little extras in their Easter basket. Beach/Pool items for babies could include a hooded towel, sand scoopers, or other beach toys (which they’ll use for years!).
Lovey Bunnies and Stuffed Animals
Probably the most adorable Easter basket gift for babies is a cuddly lovey. Babies love lovies and become sweetly attached to their cuddliness- which can help with bedtime as they get older. Our 3 year old son’s blue lovey bunny has been his little sidekick since he was a baby- and I can’t promise it’s in the best condition (definitely some holes and some pink thread sewn through, compliments of his big sister), but I love his sweet attachment to it. And if baby already has a favorite lovey, stuffed animals are always an adorable Easter gift that is sure to still be a favorite years down the line.
I hope this list has helped you think of some adorable Easter basket ideas for babies. Now it’s time to get hoppin’ on those Easter baskets! Be sure to take lots of pictures and soak up that special time with your little one on baby’s first Easter (so sweet!).
