Let’s start with pink English (or English-style) roses. Keep reading to find out what I consider to be the 20 most beautiful pink English roses for your garden.
Queen of Sweden

One of my absolute favorites, the gorgeous Queen of Sweden is an English shrub rose bred by David Austin. It has such a soft, dainty, delicate feel to it’s ruffled cup shape, and yet has a formality being a very upright English rose, with upward-facing cups that stay upright even after rainfall. It begins as a delicate apricot color and gradually changes to a soft pink. Queen of Sweden works fantastic as a rose hedge and also can grow in partial shade.

The bright pink blooms are stunning and offer the most wonderfully strong fragrance of fresh tea with notes of lemon. I planted a few Princess Alexandra of Kent roses lining our front entry, and it smells incredible when we step out of our front door each morning.

Also bred by David Austin, Gertrude Jekyll’s rosette-shaped blooms make excellent cut flowers. So you can enjoy it’s lovely fragrance in your garden and in your home! Although the show only happens once, Constance Spry blooms profusely for weeks with stunning, deeply cupped, soft pink blooms with an intense sweet myrrh fragrance. It can climb a large wall or fence and make for a breathtaking display of pink blooms. I’m a big fan of Claus Dalby, the amazing gardener and author from Denmark, and he agrees that Constance Spry is absolutely worth it to have as a once-flowering rose- and I definitely trust his advice!

Kiss Me Kate
If you’re a fan of the strongly scented medium climbers like Gertrude Jekyll, Kiss Me Kate is another perfect climbing rose. Kiss Me Kate is extremely fragrant with notes of apple, citrus, and raspberry- it makes a wonderful cut flower too!
