Pink Wallpaper FAQ’s

Once you start digging, the collection of pink wallpapers can actually be a bit overwhelming. During your search for pink wallpaper designs you might wonder:

  • Which pink hues are best for wallpaper?
  • Is pink wallpaper versatile in a bedroom?
  • Does pink wallpaper go with my interior design style?
  • Should I choose wall murals, a feature wall, or the entire wall?
  • Where are the best places to find pretty pink wallpaper?

I’ll answer each of these questions so you can feel confident in your selection of pink wallpaper!

Which Pink Hues Are Best For Wallpaper?

While choosing any color wallpaper for any room in the home depends on the specific room, the lighting- both natural and artificial light, and the style of the room, the same goes for choosing the best hue for pink wallpaper.

But as a general rule, hot pink or bold fuchsia will not be as versatile or easy to work with. However, that isn’t to say you can’t use a vibrant shade of pink! It’s just much easier to work with more neutral shades of pink: a subtle blush is perfect for a pink bedroom wallpaper, and a light pink or soft pastel pink would look absolutely darling in a baby girl nursery or girls bedroom!

Plus, bold pink wallpaper would be more suited for a small powder room that can handle a pop of bold pink vs the calming nature of a bedroom, that typically calls for more a subtle shade of pink that makes the room feel serene and peaceful.

Although personal preference, always consider how you want your living space to feel, vs. solely how you want your space to look.

Is Pink Wallpaper Versatile In A Bedroom?

It can be! Again, avoiding the bold or bright pink hues but sticking to pastel pinks or more subtle hues (there are so many different shades of pink!), will help create a more versatile backdrop for your bedroom while also adding a feminine touch to your space.

The same goes for pattern- if you want the perfect wallpaper that gives a touch of pink but still remains a versatile option for home decor and furniture in the bedroom, then avoid the bold patterns found in many modern designs and contemporary designs.

Rather, consider pink traditional wallpaper, vintage wallpaper patterns (which often have the most gorgeous floral designs!), or stick to patterns that have soft pastels or earthy tones in their pink color palettes.

Does pink wallpaper go with my interior design style?

This depends on what your interior design style is, but chances are the answer is yes!

If your interior design style leans more preppy, grandmilennial, or traditional, there are various designs that would be a perfect match for your bedroom! (I’m ALL about pink florals!). A pastel pink wallpaper is always a crowd-favorite here.

But if you lean toward a more neutral interior design style or you like a room to feel a bit moody or earthy, there are pink patterns that come in the most subtle shades that can feel very neutral in tone (which also makes these options very versatile).

Should I choose wall murals, a feature wall, or the entire wall?

There are surprisingly many different ways to wallpaper a room!

always vote for adding wallpaper to the entire room. It always feels intentional and complete, whereas an accent wall tends to feel a bit out of place and feels like you just couldn’t quite commit (ha!).

Adding wallpaper to the entire bedroom is an excellent choice to give your room a new look and touch of personality. However, wallpaper can get pricey if you choose to commit to the entire room! So adding a half wall above wainscoting can be GORGEOUS, and more affordable.

There are also pink peel and stick options (that have really come a long way in recent years) and can be a very affordable option (and a great way to explore different styles or different patterns if you change your mind often!).

Pink murals can be stunning too. I’ve seen a few pink mural bedrooms where the mural is within picture frame moulding, which is an easy way to showcase the mural without committing to the cost of a full bedroom wall installation.

Where are the best places to find pretty pink wallpaper?

There are so many wonderful places to find pink wallpaper today. You may have a local wallpaper design shop nearby, but the popular choice is to order online (but always order a sample before you commit!). These are some of my favorite online shops that have a pretty pink wallpaper collection:

  • DecoratorsBest
  • Spoonflower
  • Farrow and Ball
  • Sister Parish Designs
  • Serena and Lily
  • Brooke and Lou
  • (You can also find affordable finds at places like Home Depot, Amazon or Etsy!)
